Match Preview
The red-and-whites completed a training session on Wednesday morning before embarking on their journey to Dubai.
A 13-man squad made the trip, with head coach Ibon Navarro sweating over the fitness of Ognjen Dobrić, whose status for Thursday remains uncertain.
"Motley is sidelined. It's only been a week, and I don't expect him back for another three to four weeks. Dobrić experienced an issue during practice, so we are unsure whether he will be available. We are travelling with 13 players and will make a final decision on Thursday morning based on how he feels," head coach Ibon Navarro stated.
Dubai enter the matchup with a 2-1 record across the opening three rounds, while Crvena Zvezda stand at one win and two losses.
"Dubai are an exceptionally talented team. They are versatile and can deploy different lineups, playing small or utilizing a very tall setup. They are well-coached and possess everything required to be a Final Four contender, or even a top-two team in the EuroLeague. The long trip makes this matchup especially demanding. For us, facing the first EuroLeague game in Dubai is a major challenge. We are eager to see if we can build upon the positives from our opening three games. Rebounding will be critical—not necessarily because they score heavily off second chances, as their offensive repertoire is strong enough on its own, but because we must control the tempo. I believe the battle on the boards will be decisive in this contest." — Ibon Navarro
Nikola Đurišić is poised to make his debut in Europe's premier basketball competition in Dubai.
"Our goal is to go there and win. We are up against a tough opponent that was assembled to reach the EuroLeague Final Four. I hope we deliver a strong performance and come away with the victory. We need to set the tone right from the opening tip, prevent them from getting out in transition, and lock down their key players," Đurišić emphasized.
