Diomande: I know Real paid a lot for me, but I feel no pressure

Real Madrid's newest acquisition, Jan Diomande, remains unfazed by the high expectations surrounding his move. He joined from RB Leipzig in a deal worth €125 million, potentially rising to €140 million with add-ons.

"Mourinho has a very strong personality, which is good for us because when you're young, you're a bit of everything, and you sometimes lose focus. I believe he's the right coach for me to continue my development. When I first spoke with him, I was surprised he knew French. It was 5 AM in Portugal. He had woken up to speak with me, which shows I'm important. When Real Madrid calls, you never say 'no'," Diomande stated.

"Real Madrid spent a lot of money on me, but I don't feel any pressure. Why should I be afraid? If they've spent so much on me, it means they believe in me. I will do what I can, and God will do the rest," he added.
