The German playmaker has made a flying start with his new team, stepping up into a key role during the absence of injured guards Kon Knueppel and Coby White. So far, the 33-year-old is averaging 16.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists across 31 minutes per game while shooting 44% from the field.

A Historic Milestone with a Ninth Franchise

Despite being a newcomer to the Hornets' roster, Schröder has already made league history. According to statistical platform StatMuse, he has become the first player in NBA history to score 25 or more points with nine different teams.

The record-breaking feat was sealed during Saturday's 115-110 victory over the Miami Heat, where the German guard posted exactly 25 points, rounded out by 6 rebounds and 4 assists.

Schröder arrived in Charlotte via trade over the summer following a half-season stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Selected 17th overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2013 NBA Draft, the seasoned guard has built a well-traveled career. He has donned the jerseys of the Atlanta Hawks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets, Toronto Raptors, Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors, Detroit Pistons, Sacramento Kings, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Los Angeles Lakers across two separate spells.

Last season, the World and European champion with Germany featured in 70 games split between Cleveland and Sacramento, averaging 10.8 points, 4.9 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per contest.
