Former Spain national football team coach Vicente del Bosque has cautioned the current squad against underestimating Argentina ahead of the World Cup final, describing their opponents as a "real nuisance" and urging the Spanish side to remain wary. Del Bosque led Spain to World Cup glory in 2010, where his team defeated the Netherlands 1-0 in the final held in South Africa.

"Argentina is a tough opponent – a real nuisance, if I may use the word. They know exactly what they need to do," the 75-year-old specialist commented to the Spanish newspaper El Pais.

Vicente del Bosque highlighted Argentina's comeback against England in the semi-finals as proof of their quality. "I see the final as favoring Spain, but they must be cautious with the Argentinians, given how difficult they are to play against and their experience," he added.

Del Bosque also praised the Spanish team's performance at the 2026 World Cup and backed his compatriots to lift the trophy in North America. "In the matches we watched, events unfolded precisely to our national team's conditions. They dominated and demonstrated confidence," the renowned Spaniard further stated.
