Debie Rise has parted ways with her record label.
The one time sweet passion between the Nigerian Idol Season 3 winner, Debie Rise and her record label 800 Records (Shuga Entertainment) has gone sour and this has made the ‘Gagabu’ singer dump the label.
According to the singer, the relationship between her and the management of 800 Records reached a new low after she requested more information about the financial activities of the imprint.
According to her, "After I requested to view the financial statement of account in order to know the difference between the income made and expense incurred during the contract term, the record label decided to repudiate the contract for no just cause or prior notification (Provable by emails, voice recordings and endorsed letters)."My attempt to make the contract term last till at least March 2016 (i.e end of initial contract period) proved abortive. The time that passed resulted in their breach of contract which left me with either the option of pressing charges or walking away, of which I have decided to do the later, except forced to do otherwise.’Although the label wants me back now, but because the time that has passed has resulted in breach of contract based on the rules governing the contract, I have moved on!!
Debie Rise plans to quickly move on from the issue, and will be dropping a new single on January 1, 2016. Pulse could not get a comment from the management of 800 Records.
