De Zerbi Anticipates One More Tottenham Transfer Before Window Closes

Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi has revealed he expects the club to sign one more new player before the summer transfer window closes. This week alone, the 'Spurs' finalized the transfers of Savio (Savinho) and Omar Marmoush from Manchester City, and have so far invested £382 million in new players, including the future payment for Marmoush.

Tottenham also continues to show interest in Cody Gakpo from Liverpool.

"I didn't expect the transfer window we've had so far. I think we can add one more player in a specific position. Yesterday, we had dinner with the owners, Johan (Lange, sporting director), and Vinay (Venkatesham, CEO), and we discussed this. We are all on the same page and have a very good relationship.

I believe Savio and Marmoush are blockbuster signings. Omar is another great addition for us. We all like him as a player and hope he can deliver what he's capable of. He can give us more attacking solutions. We need more attacking players capable of scoring goals. He's a very fast footballer. Works well. A very intelligent player. Thinks like a coach. He can play in different positions on the field. He is available for tomorrow's game, perhaps even to start," De Zerbi stated.

The Italian also commented on James Maddison's latest injury.

"James doesn't have a major problem. Just pain in his left shoulder. He's working, but I don't know if he's available for tomorrow."
