Crvena Zvezda secured their first away win of the season with a dominant performance against Dubai, buoyed by the return of Dejan Davidovac, who hailed the team's defensive intensity after the final buzzer.

The Belgrade side held the hosts to a mere 58 points, and Davidovac highlighted that dominant defensive display as the deciding factor in the Emirates.

"I'm really glad we got the win. It’s a huge boost for our confidence going forward. We didn't start the season the way we had envisioned, but victories like this mean a lot. We maintained great energy across all 40 minutes and fully deserved the win in the end," said Dejan Davidovac.

Steely defense formed the backbone of Zvezda's triumph, as underlined by the forward, who noted there was no real shift in tactical preparation compared to prior games.

"That was the key to victory. We performed well on both ends of the floor. As for our preparation compared to previous matches, honestly, I don't think there was much of a difference."

Davidovac recently returned from an injury layoff, but stepping straight back into competitive action proved seamless. In fact, he was pleasantly surprised by how sharp he felt.

"I felt good. Surprisingly good,"

Refusing to grab the headlines for himself, he reiterated that his sole focus remains doing whatever it takes to help the team succeed.

"I don't set massive personal targets. We didn't start the season as planned, so I'm just focused on helping the squad however I can. I just try to contribute, keep it simple, and avoid overthinking. The newcomers seemed much more relaxed here, especially on offense, and our decision-making was solid both ways. The atmosphere and setting might have played a part—things are often a bit different at home."

With this result, both teams now sit at 2-2. Zvezda travel to face ASVEL in the next round, while Dubai also hit the road to take on Baskonia in Vitoria.
