Why it isn't advisable to stay with someone you like after being rejected

According to relationship coach, Marie Dubuque, staying friends with someone who rejected your offer for a romantic relationship isn't advisable because you'll be feeding their ego if you do.

The person you like may be truthful, but they keep stringing you along. Staying friends with them especially on social media would hurt you more than ever.

Never be a second choice to anyone because that's what they'll keep seeing you as if you stay friends with him or her. It doesn't mean you won't be friendly when you see them, just a simple 'hi' will do.
