In the video, Vasquez is seen viciously beating his girlfriend at a Texas stadium. He punched the woman in the face and also dragged her by her hair, knocking her glasses off several times.

The incident is presumed to have happened either before, or after a game at Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi, Texas because Vasquez is wearing his baseball uniform in the video.

He was arrested just two days after the filmed incident but the case was dismissed after he agreed to comply with the terms of the plea deal.

He had also been released by The Astros, the club he was playing for at that time shortly after his arrest.

Vasquez and the victim, however, continued to date after that incident.
