Crystal Palace has confirmed the departure of Nathaniel Clyne following the expiration of the defender's contract. The full-back, a product of the club's academy, rejoined Selhurst Park in the autumn of 2020 as a free agent. He made a total of 252 appearances for the Eagles, contributing 11 assists and one goal.
“The last few seasons have given me some of the best days of my life. I am proud of everything we achieved, of myself and the club. When I started at Crystal Palace, we were in the Championship. Now the club plays in Europe, with nights like the one in Leipzig. I am very happy to have been a part of it all, and it means a lot to me and my family. I want to thank the fans, the people at the club, and my teammates who helped us achieve all of this,” Clyne wrote, as quoted by the club's official website.
