The Cristiano Ronaldo-led Portugal beat host France in the final of Euro 2016 to lift the trophy.
In a friendly game against Sweden on Wednesday, March 29, Ronaldo paraded the trophy to his home fans in Madeira prior to kick off.
The over 10, 000 crowd was happy as their home hero lifted the trophy, which is Portugal’s first in their history.
The night however ended on a sad note as Sweden came back from 2-0 down to win the friendly 3-2.

Ronaldo opened goal for Portugal before Andreas Granqvist own goal gave the home side a 2-0 win.
Viktor Claesson netted two goals in the second half for Sweden before Joao Cancelo scored an own goal to give the visitors the win.
