Concern Lingers Over Kristaps! Steve Kerr Delivers Key Update on Porzingis

Kristaps Porzingis has battled postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) in recent seasons, and Steve Kerr has now revealed that the big man will consult with the team's medical staff this Tuesday, October 13.

During Monday's post-practice press conference, Steve Kerr announced that Kristaps Porzingis will be at Chase Center on Tuesday, October 13, to meet with the medical staff, including Director of Sports Medicine and Performance Rick Celebrini.

This marks the first confirmed step toward clarity after nearly two weeks in which Golden State shared virtually no details regarding Porzingis' status or the specifics of what he has been facing.

However, Kerr was unable to offer a concrete timeline for Porzingis' return. When asked by reporters whether the 7-foot-3 center would be available for the regular season, he replied:

"All of that will be determined once we get him back in the building, sit down, talk through things, and see where he's at physically and otherwise."

The prolonged silence leading up to this update was striking, even for a player who has navigated recurring, unexplained health issues in the past. Porzingis has remained away from the team since the start of training camp and missed the entire preseason. Kerr admitted that he had not seen him in person and characterized the situation as "definitely concerning."

The front office and Celebrini stayed in continuous contact with Porzingis during his time away, yet the timeline for his return to the facility—let alone game action—remained completely open-ended until now.

General Manager Mike Dunleavy told reporters on Media Day that Porzingis was managing a medical issue and would be out indefinitely. That statement stood in sharp contrast to comments made just a week prior, which indicated that Porzingis had received full medical clearance and was already participating on the court.
