Citroën made its Formula E debut this year, replacing Maserati, another brand within the Stellantis portfolio. Cassidy secured Citroën's first podium finish in the championship during the brand's debut in São Paulo in 2025. This year, Cassidy also delivered Citroën's maiden victory in Mexico.

“I'm thrilled to continue working with Citroën,” explained Vergne, a two-time Formula E champion. “Every driver wants to be involved in the creation and development of a new generation car. The Gen4 cars will represent a significant step forward for the entire championship. I'm confident we'll be well-prepared for the start of Season 13.”
“A very exciting phase in Formula E's development lies ahead,” added Cassidy. “We have excellent relationships within the team, and I can't wait to continue our work on the new car.”
