We can't keep calm, Dior just debuted Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's 'We should all be feminists' at Paris Fashion Week!

The award-winning Nigerian novelist, writer and feminist icon is said to be the inspiration for Maria Grazia Chiuri’s ready-to-wear spring 2017 Dior collection.

Chiuri, who is Dior's first female creative director in its 70-year history told Washington Post that:

“I strive to be attentive and open to the world and to create fashion that resembles the women of today”

The 2017 spring collection featured these fabulous t-shirts with Chimamanda Adichie’s famous line from her 2013 TedxEuston talk "We should all be feminists"; a speech which now boasts of more than 3 million views on YouTube, was sampled by Beyonce and was also used to teach Swedish students about feminism in 2015.

The Tedx speech was so powerful and intense that Beyonce featured it in her Grammy nominated hit single ‘Flawless’.

Adichie was also present at the event. She donned a long-sleeved beautiful gown, accessorized with a pair of green and magenta shoes.
