The children were left alone at her Kiev apartment with no food in the house.

One of them, a little boy however succumbed to hunger within nine days.

Podchapko, who reportedly went on a trip with her lover said, "she didn’t know children could die".

During her absence, neighbours who heard strange sounds coming from her apartment alerted the police, but no response came until she arrived.

This was too late as the lady's son, who is the second of her kids, had already died from lack of food.

Her careless parenting has not hindered Podchapko from having a third child.

According to The Sun UK, she "is said to be either pregnant or to have recently given birth to a third child."

Pictures discovered on her Facebook showed a contrast of her real manner of parenting, as the kids were seen smiling.

Such a tragic encounter wouldn't have been predicted from those images.
