It’s no news that Chidinma is out in the open. The singer’s deal didn’t get renewed at Capital Hill Records, and she has become a free agent, with a name, a fan base, and potential.

There has been no official word from Chidinma, the folks at Capital Hill Music, Illbliss, Clarence Peters, Chidinma’s pet bunny, her lovely mom and another person. Everyone is keeping mute, staunchly refusing to throw bones to the media and fans. And in the absence of any substantial information people are hawking the singer on the internet. Some say she has been signed by her sweet heart Flavour, others say she is going solo.

But that’s not the case. Even inside industry sources can’t seem to know the singer’s next move. So in the absence of any information, Pulse presents five potential record labels that can swoop in for the singer.

YBNL

Olamide’s rap guerrilla group have long pondered with the possibility of having a first lady. The YNL house is way too infested with testosterone, with no feminine touch to complement all of that angry, mean and successful talents. Heck, they even need the sonorous singing talents of Miss Kedike to give their hooks more zest.

Five Star Music

Five Star Music has a great talent combination of Harrysong and Kcee. (I am not counting Skiibii due to obvious reasons). They are pretty much great at what they do, but what if there was a chance that that pool of talent can be amplified with the addition of a proven talent? They sure can take it.

Chidinma will fit in well with E-Money’s Íbo’ theme, and the increased funding will help her take her projects to a profound level.

HKN Music

At the moment, HKN is a one pony show, with Davido hugging all the highlights and the rest chasing his shadow. What Chidinma brings is another star to make the team formidable. The singer will definitely throw more attention to the group, with the media focus on HKN potentially going off charts. Also, the label will benefit from her song-writing skills, and perhaps a fresh injection of talent will sure be good for B-Red, Sina Rambo, and Danagog.

Aquila Records

If label boss and entertainment entrepreneur, Shina Peller, needs to be taken seriously with his efforts at creating a strong music group, then he has to make a statement. His plan to make Baseone and his younger brother Que Peller stars are cool, but the spotlight on them is pretty much not much. Chidinma’s presence will give him a focal star to help groom the young ones, and bring all the stardust that exists.

Square Records

The vibe around the Okoye brothers these days have been one of rancor and acrimony, with Peter Okoye being a hard man to tackle. But word is the twins will get their act together again to release another album. At the moment, they already have music waiting to rolled out. Although business has been familial over at Square Records, they have the chance to make that change with the signing of Chidinma. She provides talent as good as any on the market, and brings in her vocal contributions to the group.
