The minister made the comments while speaking with the Hausa service of Voice of America.

“It took the US up to seven, eight, up to 10 years before they could get to Bin Laden. We are continuing our campaigning in the Sambisa forest in all its nooks and corners,” he said.

Boko Haram terrorists abducted 276 girls from the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno state on April 14, 2014, more than three years ago.

57 of the girls escaped from the terrorists soon after the abduction, while three others were found, and 21 more released in October 2016 after negotiations with the sect.
