Crystal Palace has reached an agreement with Chelsea for defender Axel Disasi, according to Fabrizio Romano. The French international is one of the players deemed surplus to requirements by new Blues manager Chabi Alonso and has been training separately from the main squad in recent days. He is set to join Selhurst Park on loan, tasked with the significant challenge of replacing his compatriot Maxence Lacroix, who has moved in the opposite direction to Stamford Bridge. Disasi is expected to undergo a medical today and be unveiled as a Palace player. He spent the latter half of last season on loan at West Ham, having been deemed surplus by Enzo Maresca and subsequently by Liam Ronyer. The Frenchman was acquired by Chelsea in the summer of 2023 for €45 million but failed to establish himself in the team and has been regularly sent out on loan over the past few seasons.
