Chaos in New York: Fans Throw Objects at Wembanyama, Security Intervenes! /VIDEO/

After a dramatic finish, capped by O.G. Anunoby's last-second heroics, the Knicks have defeated the Spurs for the third time in four games, putting them on the brink of a championship title.

Following the thrilling loss, the San Antonio players returned to their New York hotel, where they were met by a hostile reception from Knicks fans.

Some fans went too far, even throwing objects at Victor Wembanyama as he exited the team bus, prompting security to intervene.

This isn't the first time home fans have confronted Wemby and the Spurs, and he had a clear message for them.

It's clear how much New York yearns for a Knicks championship. The franchise last claimed a title in 1973, and their last NBA Finals appearance was 27 years ago. Consequently, triumph in this series is paramount.

After securing two road wins in Texas, the Knicks dropped one, and it seemed they might lose another. The Spurs held a commanding 29-point lead, but then a miracle unfolded. The home team steadily chipped away at the deficit, ultimately securing a historic victory.

Knicks games are known for attracting numerous celebrities, and this occasion was no different. Ben Stiller, Timothée Chalamet, Taylor Swift, and, of course, Spike Lee, were all courtside.

They erupted in euphoria after Anunoby's game-winning shot, especially as the Spurs failed to get a shot off in their final possession.

The celebration continued on the court and then spilled into the streets of New York. This Knicks team is now just one step away from immortality.
