Heading into the clash, home-court advantage was the biggest plus for Madrid, as the team had yet to fully gel in the way coach Pedro Martinez envisioned and had been trying to implement. That had previously resulted in an 0-3 start, piling immense pressure on the hosts. However, Real Madrid put in a very solid performance, while Partizan had little answers beyond Carlik Jones, paving the way for a crucial home win.

Facundo Campazzo, who finished the contest with 12 points, shared his thoughts following the victory.

"We can't complain, we played in the EuroLeague final last season. This season is different—different coach, players, and coaching staff. It's all part of the adaptation process, and we have to accept the tough moments. We did a great job on defense, which boosted our confidence, and offensively we tried to make the right decisions and played good basketball." - Facundo Campazzo
