Workers want president to invest recovered funds on employment
The Nigeria Civil Service Union (NCSU) told President Buhari that he should put monies recovered from looters into the employment generating ventures to reduce what they described as ‘alarming unemployment rates’ in the country.
In a communiqué issued on Saturday, April 16, 2016 and jointly signed by the President, Comrade Kiri Mohammed and the acting General Secretary, F C. Ifoh at the end of the Special Delegates Conference, the union expressed concerned on the current economic recession leading to difficulty for regular payment of salaries.
“There should be reduction in the cost of governance at all tiers of Government due to the dwindling resources. The union regrets to observe that hundreds of billions of Naira filter away under the governance by the public office holders, most especially in the guise of security vote.”
