President rejects gay marriage ‘point blank’

President Muhammadu Buhari has rejected the notion of gay marriage, his spokesperson says.

Buhari’s media aide, Femi Adesina stated that the president rejected the issue ‘point blank.’

“The issue of gay marriage came up here yesterday. PMB was point blank. Sodomy is against the law in Nigeria, and abhorrent to our culture,” Adesina said via Twitter on Wednesday, July 22, 2015.

Buhari is in the US for a four-day official trip and met with President Barack Obama on Tuesday, July 21.
