The two nominees are Prof. Stephen Ikanyo Ocheni (Kogi) and Suleman Zamah Hassan (Gombe).

The two nominees are expected to serve as replacements for Late James Ocholi and Amina Mohammed, former minister for environment, who is the current United Nations deputy secretary- general.

A Kogi-based lawyer, Daniel Makolo, recently called on President Buhari to appoint a Kogi indigene to replace the Minister of State for Labour, late Ocholi.
