The president first had a brief meeting with Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) and ZamfaraState Governor, Abdulaziz Yari and APC's National Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun.

After the meeting , the president proceeded to another private meeting with the President and the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu around 3:30pm.
