Members of BringBackOurGirls campaign group march to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari

The campaigners, who have been championing the cause of the abducted Chibok girls, are expected to question Buhari on what plans he has to rescue the girls, who have been missing for over a year.

The BringBackOurGirls campaign group is set to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari today, July 8, 2015.

The date of the meeting had been revealed on June 30 by former Minister of Education and convener of the group, Obiageli Ezekwesili, via Twitter.

“WE @BBOG_Nigeria have received confirmation of schedule of OUR MEETING with @MBuhari & FG on our #ChibokGirls for July 8th 2015 @ 12 noon,” she had tweeted.

The Chibok girls were kidnapped on April 14, 2014, by members of the Boko Haram sect and most of them remain in captivity.
