Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler has addressed the situation surrounding winger Yankuba Minteh, who is heavily linked with a move to Liverpool. The Reds have already submitted one offer, which was rejected by the Seagulls. Hürzeler emphasized that the player will be fully committed to the club once the transfer window closes.
“He is a Brighton player for now, and I have nothing else to say. What I respect about him is that when the window closes, he will be fully committed to the club. Of course, someone might dream of a certain player, or the player himself might have dreams and desires, but ultimately, we have to make a choice about what is best for the club, and we discussed that with him. At this moment, he is definitely a Brighton player. I cannot say anything more, so let's see what happens,” Hürzeler stated.
The player himself is currently injured and will be sidelined for two to three weeks. On Sunday, Brighton faces a tough challenge, traveling to London to play Chelsea. The Seagulls started their campaign brilliantly last week, crushing Aston Villa 4-0.
