Working Title has released the first trailer of
The third film in franchise sees Renée Zellweger reprising the title role alongside Colin Firth and Patrick Dempsey as her love interests.

Zellweger and Firth both starred in the preceding films; “Bridget Jones’s Diary” in 2001 and “Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason” in 2003.
Directed by Sharon Maguire, who directed the original film in 2001, the movie is scripted by David Nicholls alongside Maguire.
From the trailer, it’s clear Bridget Jones will have a baby, however the identity of her father remains a secret.

“Bridget Jones” is a franchise based on the fictional character with the same name, Bridget Jones. British writer Helen Fielding started her Bridget Jones's Diary column in The Independent in 1995.
The both films in franchise have grossed over $540 million at the global box office. The threequel is set to open nationwide in the U.S. on September 16, 2016.
