Fears of the continued spread of the Ebola virus have again risen as the Republic of Benin has confirmed that it is treating a patient suspected to have the disease.

The country's Health minister, Dorotheé Gazard has said that a Beninois hospital is currently treating a Nigerian man who seems to have Ebola.

Health officials are said to have sent the patient's blood to Senegal for testing and verification.

Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Nigeria

The deadly disease has killed over 900 people in West Africa since this year's outbreak began in February.
