Ebola-Infected Doctor Makes Miracle Recovery

Just days after a plea for the ZMapp drug was made on her behalf, the Nigerian doctor who got infected with Ebola is said to have recovered.

Dr. Stella Ameyo Adadevoh, a Senior Consultant at the First Consultant Hospital, got the disease after contact with Liberian- American, Patrick Sawyer.

Vanguard reports that the doctor has now made a miracle recovery and has been discharged from the isolation center in Lagos.

Dr. Adadevoh was one of the first people to contact the virus after assisting in the treatment of Mr. Sawyer.

Update: The Health Minister, Onyebuchi Chukwu has said that the doctor who recovered from the disease was not Dr. Stella Ameyo Adadevoh as widely reported.

Dr. Adadevoh died on Tuesday, August 19, 2014.
