Boko Haram Battles Army In Gamboru, Borno

Barely 24 hours after Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau declared an Islamic Caliphate in Gwoza, Borno, the sect is again involved in a power tussle with Nigerian troops.

According to reports, a gun battle is ongoing in the Gamboru area of the state between soldiers and members of the sect.

The militants were said to have attacked the area at about 5:30AM this morning and they were met fire for fire by the officers.

Boko Haram released a new video yesterday, August 24, 2014 where it declared Gwoza an Islamic Caliphate.
