Boston Celtics President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens has been named the NBA Executive of the Year for the 2025-26 season.

This marks the second time in three years that Stevens has received this prestigious award, solidifying his status as one of the most successful executives in modern basketball.

Stevens garnered a total of 69 points in the voting by his fellow general managers from other NBA teams, including 11 first-place votes. He outranked Onsi Saleh of Atlanta (41 points) and Trajan Langdon of Detroit (40 points).

Brad Stevens is now only the 12th executive in NBA history to win this award more than once.

What makes Stevens' achievement this year particularly noteworthy is how Boston maintained its position at the top of the Eastern Conference. Despite the Celtics' efforts last summer to reduce their budget and avoid hefty luxury taxes, and even with star player Jayson Tatum missing a significant portion of the season due to an Achilles injury, the team concluded the regular season with an impressive 56-26 record.

Boston currently leads Philadelphia 3-1 in the first round of the playoffs.

As a reminder, Victor Wembanyama was named Defensive Player of the Year, Cooper Flagg earned Rookie of the Year, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was recognized as the Clutch Player of the Year.
