Boost for Arsenal as France International Returns to Training

French defender William Saliba has returned to Arsenal first-team training. The international centre-back is yet to feature this season due to persistent back issues that troubled him back in June at the World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

Saliba could theoretically be available for the reigning English champions in Wednesday's Champions League fixture against Slavia Prague, though he is not expected to be named in the matchday squad.

He is also unlikely to feature for the national team in November's Nations League clashes against Italy and Turkey. Over the summer, Arsenal brought in England centre-back Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa to cover the position, and he has slotted seamlessly into the lineup, according to AFP.
