US condemns terrorists’ use of children as suicide bombers

The United States of America has condemned the recent Boko Haram attacks in Nigeria and Cameroon.

This was contained in a statement released on Friday, July 24, 2015, by US State Department deputy spokesperson, Mark Toner.

It reads in part:

"Boko Haram's unconscionable use of children as suicide bombers and indiscriminate targeting of men, women and children highlights the group's senseless brutality.”

"We remain committed to working closely with Cameroon, Nigeria and the other Lake Chad Basin countries to defeat Boko Haram.”

Twin bombings occurred in Nigeria’s Gombe state on Wednesday, July 2, while two teenage suicide bombers also launched an attack on Cameroon’s Maroua on the same day.
