Rescued captives accused of aiding terrorists

275 of the former captives were recently relocated to an unknown destination to apparently keep them from contacting Boko Haram insurgents, according to the Associated Press.

Some of the women recently rescued from Boko Haram have reportedly been taken into military custody after suspicions arose that they were still communicating with the terrorists.

The suspicions were said to have arisen after some of the captives questioned a colleague on why she had she received preferential treatment and better food from the terrorists when they were being held.

Defence spokesperson, Chris Olukolade said, on Thursday, May 21, 2015, that the former captives were relocated in order for them to get "proper medical attention and psycho-social therapy."

He however did not say where they were taken.

The Nigerian military has rescued about 1,000 women and children from Boko Haram since April.
