Real Madrid vs Elche

Both sides met just three days back on Thursday in the Copa del ray round of 32. Madrid win in extra time to seal their place in the round of 16. This time around most of the rotations will not be necessary. Madrid will welcome most of their stars from the start in order to tighten their trip on the league title they already seem to be running away with.

Prediction

It should be a straightforward Madrid win

Value bet: Karim Bemzema to score @ 1.60 odds

Granada vs Osasuna

Thirteenth plays 14th in this lower mid-table clash at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes. Granada have one win in their last five matches. Osasuna on the other hand have four losses in five.

On the face of it, the two sides are balanced but their squad quality is so far apart for all to see. Players like Luis Suarez, Darwin Marchis and Yangel Herrera would be charged with picking another win for Roberto Moreno's men. Osasuna on the other hand have a sturdy defence and a striker in Ante Budemir who thrives on crosses.

 Prediction

 Total goals under 3.5.

Rayo Vallecano vs Athletic Bilbao

Senior service: Rayo Vallecano's Colombian forward Radamel Falcao on Wednesday
Rayo's runaway success in La Liga is founded on their stunning home form

Rayo Vallecano are unbeaten at home this season with 2 draws and 8 wins.

Bilbao have just one draw this season away from home so no doubt this match is a match that will be packed with action.

The home side tend to play on the break while the away team have found joy doing the same in recent weeks, so it remains to be seen which side will crack.

Prediction

Both teams fancy low scoring affairs so total under 3.5 goals.

Real Sociedad vs Getafe

Real Sociedad need to win to keep the heat on Atletico Madrid in the race for a European spot

The Basque country was agog after two of their representatives got to the last 16 of the Copa Del Rey.

Sociedad have put that behind them as they chase a win that will lift them into Champions league places. They are on the same points as Atletico Madrid and can go above them with the Rojiblancos being dodgy of late.

Getafe on the other hand have found a decent run and are above the relegation places. They are now placed 16th on the log wins over Real Madrid and Osasuna have given them momentum but the loss to Sevilla was a check at the right time. They too will fancy their chances for a slim win.

Prediction

Real Sociedad win or draw and match total goals under 3.5 @1.40 odds

Alaves vs Barcelona

Barcelona's Ferran Torres scored his first goal for the club against Athletic Bilbao on Thursday.
Barcelona's Ferran Torres scored his first goal for the club against Athletic Bilbao on Thursday.

Barcelona now have just one realistic route to the Champions League - a top four finish. The visit to Estadio Mendizorroza presents a chance for that.

New signing Ferran Torres scored a worldie in the Copa Del Rey in midweek although it wasn't enough to book them a spot in the next round. Ansu Fati misses this game with injury and Memphis Depay has not offered much when played.

Alaves will look to exploit the Catalans on the break having seen the success of teams like Athletic and Madrid, and in front of their home fans a positive result for the 19th-placed side on the table would be a welcome result.

Prediction

Barcelona win @ 1.60 odds
