Newcastle are reportedly pushing hard to sign Amar Dedic, with sources in Bosnia and England suggesting the Benfica player has already agreed to a move to the Premier League. The English club has now set its price for the Bosnian international defender.

According to Bosnian portal SportSport, Newcastle, who initially offered lower figures, are now prepared to finalize a deal worth €30 million. However, Benfica's board is reportedly seeking €35 million for the right-back, who is under contract with the club until 2030 and protected by a €50 million release clause.

Dedic was acquired by the Eagles in the summer of 2025 from Red Bull Salzburg for €10 million, plus an additional €2 million in bonuses.

Despite his participation in the World Cup with the Bosnian national team, the 23-year-old Dedic began the season as a substitute at the Estádio da Luz, with Bah starting the first four official matches. Manager Marco Silva also has Daniel Banjaqui at his disposal.

Benfica's Transfers to the Premier League:

Dedic is currently with the squad that traveled to Scotland and remains an option for Marco Silva in Thursday's match against Hearts, the second leg of the Europa League third qualifying round. Negotiations between Benfica and Newcastle could gain new momentum if the figures align closer to Benfica's expectations.
