Ahead of next season, Bayern Munich have unveiled their new kit which is very similar to the one the legends like Gerd Muller, Uli Hoeness and Franz Beckenbauer wore.
It’s a return to the white stripes but this time the Adidas shirt has T-Mobile -continuing as the sponsors of the club- and ‘Mia san Mia’ emblazoned across the neck of the shirt.
“The new jersey is inspired by one of the most iconic jerseys they had in their glory past,” the shirt’s senior design director Jurgen Rank explains.
“At that time, Bayern were basically dominating European football.
“The club and we thought it was time to bring back this great design, but obviously in a modern way.”
Bayern Munich wore the strip for their final league game of the season against Freiburg on Saturday, May 20.
