That goal alongside that of Paolo Palmacci, Daniel Cedeno, Bruno Xavier, Peyman Hosseini, Gabriele Gori, Dejan Stankovic, Bruno Novo, Rodrigo, Takasuke Goto, Boguslaw Saganowski and Jean Francois have all been nominated for Goal of the Tournament.

Azeez says he is very excited about the nomination and also feels very accomplished despite Nigeria’s early exit from the Beach Soccer World Cup.

“I feel so good and happy because it’s a very big honour to be nominated,” he told .

The winner will be announced by FIFA at the end of voting on Monday, May 15
