The AYKON Dare will be a glass-floored viewing capsule located outside the hotel's walls, and is meant to let visitors mimic "the feeling of walking in the air".

In recent years, Dubai has come to be known as the ultimate tourist destination filled with more jaw-dropping edifices than many places can boast of.

It's newest project AYKON City, however, is set to trump all other tourist spots with its adrenaline-pumping 935 ft drop down ledge walk.

Aptly named the AYKON Dare, the ledge walk  starts at the 79th floor dining room, inviting visitors to step out onto a ledge overlooking Dubai.

A maximum of 10 people will be harnessed in and secured to a safety rail before ascending the rooflines to 360-degree, panoramic views on the 80th floor.

Visitors will then get a breath-taking view of some of Dubai's most iconic sites, and the city as a whole.

It is touted that on a clear day, visitors will be able to see about 64 kilometres into the distance.

The AYKON Dare is part of a six-skyscraper mini-city known as AYKON City.

It will include office space, luxury apartments, a hotel amongst other services.
