Aubameyang to Bolster La Liga Newcomers

La Liga newcomers Deportivo La Coruña are set to sign striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Marseille in a €1.5 million transfer, according to Foot Mercato.

L'Équipe further reports that the 37-year-old veteran turned down an offer from Turkish Süper Lig debutants Çorum. They had proposed a two-year contract with an annual salary of €3.5 million. However, Aubameyang opted for Deportivo's offer, marking his return to La Liga, where he previously played for Barcelona in the spring of 2022. His career also includes stints at major clubs like Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, and Chelsea. Last season, the Gabonese international made 41 appearances for Marseille, scoring 14 goals and providing 10 assists.
