The club has resumed talks with La Liga champions Athletico Madrid for Brazillian defender Filipe Luis to join Chelsea in the summer.

The left-back was a vital player in the campaign of Athletico Madrid last season, he kept the defence in shape that it only conceded 26 goals all through the la liga campaign which gave them their first league title in 18 years.

Former Deportivo fullback Luis has committed to fulfilling the remaining three years left in his contract, but he might reconsider the thoughts with Chelsea getting more confident in their pursuit to bring him to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are also considering the acquisition of Sevilla's Alberto Moreno and Southampton's Luke Shaw.

Tiago and Diego Costa are other Athletico players that Chelsea is eyeing for a possible switch of allegiance.
