Atalanta Offers New Deal to Brazilian International After Failed United Transfer
Brazilian international Ederson will not be joining Manchester United this summer. Instead, Atalanta is expected to offer him a new contract in an effort to keep him in Bergamo.
The move to the English club fell through due to concerns that arose during the player's medical examinations. The 27-year-old midfielder underwent an initial round of tests while in the United States for the World Cup, but this did not satisfy United, and he was expected to undergo a second series of examinations in the UK.
Ederson is currently in the final year of his contract with Atalanta, which expires in the summer of 2027. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the club will attempt to extend the Brazilian's deal. The Italian side insists the player has no serious fitness or medical issues, but offering a new contract could strengthen the "Nerazzurri's" position should the player seek a transfer again.
