The opening quarter saw multiple lead changes before Nancy closed out the frame on a 9-0 run to build a 24-18 advantage after ten minutes. However, the hosts responded in kind to start the second quarter, mounting a furious comeback to quickly surge ahead 32-27. For the rest of the half, ASVEL maintained a slim lead between one and five points, heading into the break with a 43-40 edge.
Nancy briefly regained the lead early in the second half, but the hosts kept them within striking distance. The home side took full control in the fourth quarter, opening up a nine-point cushion (74-65) before closing out the 78-74 win.
Partizan's upcoming EuroLeague opponents relied on a balanced team effort, with Hugo Besson and Yves Pons leading the way with 11 points each, while Jae Crowder also reached double figures with ten.
On the other side, Carlos Marshall carried the offensive load for Nancy with a game-high 21 points, but lacked enough support from his teammates to complete an upset.
Following this result, ASVEL remain one of three unbeaten teams at the top of the standings with a 5-0 record, while Nancy drop to 1-4.
