Aston Villa are facing a frantic end to the transfer window, having reportedly reached an agreement with Al-Hilal for the transfer of Ollie Watkins, according to Sky Sports. The two clubs have been negotiating for about a week and have finally shaken hands on a £50 million deal that will send the England international to Saudi Arabia. This agreement comes just hours after the Birmingham side secured the services of Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea, for whom they are expected to pay £60 million. Ollie Watkins has been with Aston Villa since the summer of 2020, when he was bought for €34 million from Brentford. During his tenure at Villa Park, he registered 108 goals and 47 assists in 278 appearances for the team. The Englishman arrives at Al-Hilal with the challenging task of replacing Karim Benzema, who departed the club after the end of last season.
