Premier League newcomers Ipswich are reportedly close to securing a loan deal for Aston Villa striker Tammy Abraham. The forward arrived at Villa Park in the winter transfer window but struggled to make a significant impact, primarily featuring from the bench. He managed just two goals for the team in the Premier League.

Yesterday, Aston Villa reached an agreement for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson. Sky Sports further reports that the Birmingham club has also made inquiries about Jean-Philippe Mateta from Crystal Palace and Kristian Kofane from Bayer Leverkusen. The French forward is currently at odds with the Palace hierarchy, making it highly probable that the London club would be willing to let him go before the transfer window closes to resolve the issue.
