Arsenal, the English champion, have reportedly rejected an offer from AC Milan for attacking midfielder Ethan Nwaneri, according to Matteo Moretto. The proposal was for a loan deal with an option to buy for €40 million, but neither the structure nor the fee satisfied the London club.

It remains unclear whether the Rossoneri will launch another bid for the 19-year-old, who has also attracted interest from RB Leipzig, as well as clubs in the Premier League and Turkey. The England youth international has made a total of 51 appearances for his parent club's first team, scoring 10 goals and providing 2 assists. Last spring, he was loaned to Marseille, where he featured in 11 matches, netting 2 goals and contributing one assist.

During his press conference today, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta addressed Nwaneri's future. “I want him to stay at the club. However, we need to consider the medium and long term, as well as what is best for the player. Ethan needs to play football. If he stays here, it will be because we can guarantee him those playing minutes,” Arteta commented.
