Robben limped out of the match on Tuesday and the club  has confirmed that the forward will miss the rest of the season after he tore his left calf muscle.

"Arjen Robben has a tear in his left calf muscle. His season is over," Bayern Munich English Twitter account tweeted.

Robben's team-mate Robert Lewandowski is also set for a spell on the sidelines after breaking his jaw and nose in Tuesday's cup match at the Allianz Arena.

"Robert Lewandowski has broken his upper jaw and his nose. He also has a concussion. It doesn't get much worse than that," the account added.
