Okorocha, who is the chairman of the forum, said the governors are concerned with the level of poverty in the country.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors Forum on Thursday, August 27, said it has constituted a committee on job creation to control the rate of unemployment in the country.

Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo, disclosed this to newsmen after the forum's meeting in Yola.

He said the forum has resolved to tackle the issue, adding, "to this end, a committee headed by Alhaji , Governor of Kebbi, has been set up to fashion out action plan."

He said the forum has also resolved to meet on monthly basis to assess progress made and how to improve on it.

He commended Gov. Bindow Jibrilla of Adamawa for hosting the meeting.

Okorocha also expressed the forum's condolence to the government and people of Borno over the recent passing away of the state Deputy Governor, Alahji Mustapha Zannah.
