Former Germany international Antonio Rüdiger, who retired from international duty following the World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, remains undecided about his future. His contract with Real Madrid runs until 2027, with an option to extend for a further season.
The 33-year-old plans to evaluate his future next spring, according to German outlet Bild. Until then, the defender remains fully focused on the team under head coach José Mourinho. Although Rüdiger is not a regular starter under the Portuguese tactician, he feels in strong physical shape, and his family is well settled in the Spanish capital.
Should it become clear during the winter that his prospects in Madrid are limited, the Saudi Pro League could emerge as a potential destination. A return to the Premier League is also an option, with Tottenham Hotspur reportedly interested. A move back to London could be particularly appealing for the centre-back, as both of his children were born in the English capital.
