Conte is losing his assistant first-team coach Steve Holland on his coaching at the end of the season. Holland will join Gareth South’s coaching crew in England national team.

According to former Chelsea coach, Wilkins, Pirlo is reuniting with Conte to replace Holland at the end of the season.

Pirlo, 37, who still plays in the MLS for New York City, has been a regular at Chelsea’s training ground this season.

“I know for a fact he has been around Stamford Bridge on a number of occasions this year," Wilkins told .

“He's the one that Antonio Conte would like. He managed him at Juventus until he was 34.

“He is the one he will want to come in [to replace Holland].”
